I just thought I should share that I’m seeing updates from Mashable to the New York Times pop and saying they have gotten invites to a Google press event on January 5th. From what they are saying Google has not said what is going to be talked about, but i think it is safe to assume that it will be about the Nexus one (a.k.a the Google Phone).
